DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES

Join us for an evening in the fascinating and comical world of the vampires, and experience Roman Polanski's vampire parody as a musical.

The renowned Professor Abronsius, a vampire researcher from Königsberg, is accompanied on his expedition to Transsylvania by Alfred, a shy young scientist. Seeking respite in a suspicious-looking inn, they are confronted with huge quantities of garlic – which the professor sees as indisputable proof of vampires.

Alfred falls in love at once with Sarah, the beautiful daughter of the Jewish innkeeper couple Chagal and Rebecca. When Sarah suddenly disappears, Alfred and the professor make for the nearby castle – the professor seeking to uncover the vampires' secrets and Alfred determined to set Sarah free!

The two fearless researchers meet Count Krolock, master of the castle, his son Herbert, the hunchback servant Koukol and finally Chagal as well, who has in the meantime become a vampire. From the distance, they hear Sarah singing a ditty as she prepares herself for her grand entrance in the castle.

Count Krolock has extended an invitation to the grand annual ball, and all his vampire relatives emerge from their graves for the festivities. The mortal gate-crashers rescue Sarah from her creatures of darkness who are keeping her captive. However, as soon as they seem to have escaped safely, the events take a surprising turn...
